WHALE WATCHING
– CROWDY HEAD
Get back in touch with nature and spend a perfect day watching these gentle giants off the coast of Harrington and Crowdy head.
The whales migrate north to warmer waters during May to July, or catch them on their return trip during August to October when they head south to the richer feeding grounds.
Fishing charters and whale watching off Crowdy Head are available all year. Alternatively there are many land-based whale watching sights from the beaches, sand dunes and rocky headlands. The Crowdy Head lighthouse offers a spectacular viewing point to watch these magnificent creatures, but remember to take your binoculars.
