The Community Resilience Team (CRT)

The Harrington Crowdy Head Community Resilience Team was formed following community meetings that were held after severe bushfires and flooding impacted the district in 2019 and 2021 respectively.

It was recognised that the community needs to be better prepared and organised for future emergencies and to complement official emergency service organisations in the outstanding work that they do.

The CRT has no formal structure or membership. Participation is open to anyone in the community who wishes to contribute to the following aims. Our aims are to educate the community on how to formulate their own emergency plans, to provide opportunities for individuals to contribute to the wellbeing of their community and to facilitate disaster and emergency preparedness activities within the community through a volunteer support network.
